I have engraved this rustic, distressed terra cotta brick with the Theodore Roosevelt quote:
"It is not the critic who counts... The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena whose face is marked by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, ... if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly."
To finish off these bricks, I have enhanced the engraved areas with a light brushing of black paint. Use the bricks as a book ends, door stops, shelf decorations, or whatever your heart desires. Each brick is a one of a kind. Rustic, shabby chic, unique, and beautiful! They make great gifts for pastors, teachers and professors.
