Justin R. Visser was born and raised in the Gallatin Valley of southwest Montana. Following high school he headed to Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. His upbringing and university days were the seeds of what his art has grown into. His work is heavily influenced by his rural upbringing and the education of "Mind and Heart" he received from Whitworth. His art work has a rustic, country feel and seeks to stir a smile, or something even more positive from its viewers.
Justin's engraved slate and stone have become his signature items. However, recently, he has begun applying his designs to paintings on canvas and wood. Justin currently works out of his home in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon.
